8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
By midwinter, most Colorado lakes and reservoirs are frozen, forcing waterfowl onto the moving water of the South Platte River. Visit a number of sites along the river in the Denver area where we should find a half dozen species of “dabbling ducks” and nine species of “diving ducks.” Possible rarities include Barrow’s goldeneye, long-tailed duck, greater scaup, and red-breasted merganser. These areas are also great for raptors. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the program.
