Evolutionary Biology in Action - CANCELLED

Picture of Evolutionary Biology in Action - CANCELLED
Mondays & Wednesday
May 5, 7 & 12, 2014
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Examine fascinating case studies of evolution in action, from genomes to ecosystems, with John Demboski, curator of vertebrate zoology. Evolutionary biology is focused on understanding the different processes that produce the mind-boggling diversity on our planet. Theoretical and technological advances in recent decades have moved us into a new golden age of evolution where questions dating back to Darwin and Wallace are beginning to be answered. View Museum research specimens, and learn how Demboski’s global fieldwork— in Mongolia, the Philippines, and across western North America — as well as his more recent forays into genomics all contribute to a growing understanding of evolution. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the program.
