Discover geology fundamentals as applied to the fossil record. With Bob Raynolds, PhD, earth sciences research associate, learn the basics of stratigraphy, sedimentology, geological mapping, and dating techniques, and complete a field report.  This course includes two full day field trips, the first of which introduces you to the Denver Basin and to Front Range structure and stratigraphy.  The second trip will offer a unique experience to explore the geology of Upper Colorado River by canoe.  Students will have the opportunity to paddle down the river as Dr. Raynolds provides a lesson about the spectacular surroundings.  Paleontology 101 is a prerequisite for this course. All sales are final unless the Museum
