6:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Chico Basin is a private ranch that hosts a Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory banding station and welcome birders on their property. It has become locally famous as a fall migration hot spot. Curve-billed thrashers frequent the cholla flats, and swallows and flycatchers abound around the ponds and lakes. There are many warbler species and almost always a few rarities. Almost anything can show up at Chico Basin! Transportation is not included. Participants caravan from a meeting location. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the program.
