This course gives you the tools you need to begin studying flowering and nonflowering plants. With instruction from botanist and Museum research associate Jeanne Willson, you’ll learn how to understand and describe plant structures; how botanists organize plants into families, genera, and species; and how to use a key to identify flowers and Colorado native evergreens. You will also study the evolutionary history of plants and understand more about their ecological role on our lively, diverse planet. Class fee includes field guide.

This is an elective for the Paleontology Certification Program; however, there are no prerequisites for this course.

All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the program.
