Discover the wonder and science of bird migration in this unique four-part course offered in partnership with Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory (RMBO). Learn about how, why, and where birds migrate—and the challenges they face—during an immersive presentation in the Planetarium, study specimens in the Museum’s ornithology collections, and visit a banding station.The field trip to the banding station will be Saturday, September 21 from 8–10 a.m Scientists from the Museum and RMBO will discuss the latest research on Colorado’s grassland birds and the dunlin, which migrates from Southeast Asia to the tundra of northern Alaska to breed, and how what is learned through science leads to conservation.
All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the program.
