7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Now that construction for various improvements is complete at Chatfield, we can once again spend the day at this terrific birding locality, squeezing in as many great habitats as possible. The lake itself hosts hundreds of ducks, grebes, and other waterfowl. The deltas of Plum Creek and the South Platte River are famous for shorebirds, and American pipits are often seen working the shorelines. The prairies have raptors, the marshes have blackbirds, rails, and marsh wrens, and the woodlands have … who knows? There could be almost anything!
All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event.
