7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
By late April many migrants have returned to the prairies of eastern Colorado. Western Weld County is home to myriad lakes, marshes, and woodlands that host migrants passing through or returning to their nesting grounds. Explore such “hot spots” as Banner Lakes, 59 Pond, Loloff Reservoir, Lower Latham Reservoir, and Stewart’s Pond for newly arrived cinnamon and blue-winged teal and American white pelicans, grebes, solitary sandpiper, willet, godwit, Virginia’s rail, sora, white-faced ibis, and many more with expert bird guide Norm Lewis. Transportation is not included. Participants caravan from a meeting location. The meeting locations for bird walks vary with each outing, so please consult your reminder email for final information.
All sales final unless the museum cancels the event.
