Madagascar holds one of the most unique plant and animal communities on our planet. Intrepid senior field biologist Steve Goodman of The Field Museum is intimately aware of this fact after studying the biodiversity of this exceptional ecosystem for more than 25 years. Using compelling images and stories, Goodman will take you on an exploration of what makes Madagascar and its inhabitants so special. He will share the challenges Madagascar faces and what actions would ensure a more stable future. Goodman and his Malagasy colleagues cofounded Association Vahatra to promote ways to protect the island. All sales are final unless the Museum cancels the event.
